Perimenopause and Menopause
Expert care for perimenopause and menopause, helping you navigate hormonal changes with clarity and confidence.

What is the difference between perimenopause and menopause?
Perimenopause is the transitional phase leading up to menopause, during which hormone levels fluctuate and periods become irregular. This phase can begin several years before the final menstrual period and is often when symptoms are most noticeable. Menopause is confirmed after 12 consecutive months without a period. Both phases can involve a range of symptoms including hot flushes, sleep disturbance, mood changes, vaginal dryness, and brain fog.
What treatment options are available?
I offer individualised, evidence-based care to help you navigate this transition with confidence. Treatment options include menopausal hormone therapy (MHT/HRT), which remains the most effective approach for managing symptoms, as well as non-hormonal alternatives for those in whom hormones are not appropriate. I also address longer-term health considerations including bone density, cardiovascular health, and overall wellbeing.
